The Department of Physics was established in year 1998. The department is among the first
few departments since the inception of the Integral University (erstwhile Institute of Integral Technology).
Initially the department was functioning under the umbrella of Faculty of Applied Sciences. Later on in 2008,
it started functioning as full-fledged department with its distinct faculty of committed pedagogues.
In 2008 the department started a new postgraduate (M.Sc. Nanosciences) course in cutting edge domain of
Nanosciences and the department was renamed as Department of Physics and Nanosciences. Presently the faculty
members of the department are engaged in research and teaching following courses to the B. Tech. and M.Sc.
