HOD Pharmacy
The faculty of Pharmacy in Integral University was established in the year of 2004, with
diploma and bachelor courses in pharmacy. The faculty consists of the following
departments:
1. Department of Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry
2. Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
3. Department of Pharmacology
4. Department of Pharmaceutics
These departments are running M. Pharm. and
Ph.D. programs. The thirst areas of research are Drug discovery
and development from natural products and traditional medicines. The faculty is fully
devoted to high class research with standardization of Unani and Ayurvedic (single and
polyherbal) drugs, isolation of herbal molecules, development and validation of analytical
methods for medicinal plants and formulations. Design and synthesis of broad-spectrum
novel therapeutic agents (quinoline, imidazole, piperazine, pyrazole & peptide-quinoline
conjugate class etc.) and analysis of synthetic molecules are research area in Department
of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Under the patronage of Honb’le Professor of
Pharmacology Dr. Hefazat H. Siddiqui, Department of Pharmacology is grooming with
quality research, especially in Evaluation of Pharmacological Interventions targeting
Cardiovascular System, Neuropharmacology, Hepatotoxicity, and Diabetes. The
department is also engaged in Screening of Herbal Drugs and Elucidation of
Pharmacological Potential of NCEs in Disease Models for Efficacy Studies. Some
research scholars are also working in the field of nanobased drug delivery systems.
