HOD Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics from its very inception in 1998 has aimed to be a centre of excellence in mathematics
and been vigorously engaged in both research and teaching. The vision of the department is not only to transform young
people to competent and motivated professionals but also to contribute to the development of nation through research,
consultancy and training activities. The Department at present has twelve energetic and dedicated faculty members out of
which 2 Associate Professors and 10 Assistant Professors who, apart from teaching, are actively engaged in research
in the field of Differential Geometry, Functional Analysis, Hydrodynamics and Operational Research.
The Department offers Ph.D. programme for bright and motivated students to work in the field of Mathematics
and interdisciplinary areas. The members of the department have published more than 45 research papers in
National and International Journals of repute and have guided 08 research scholars for Doctorate degree.
The Department also offers core and advance courses in mathematics at undergraduate and post graduate levels for engineering,
pharmacy, business and management and computer applications departments.
The department is teaching Mathematics to about 2400 Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
Moreover, there are 16 research scholars enrolled in Ph.D. program.
